As an adult, Summer is vastly different. For one, what are we supposed to do with these kids all day? Why do we still have to work when kids have two months off of school. This whole adulting thing definitely has it's pros and cons. Although being a parent in these Summer months can be a bit tiresome, we truly hope you've been able to set some time aside to sit back, kick your legs up and enjoy a little Summer reading. And maybe a rosé.
“We owe it to the fields that our houses will not be the inferiors of the virgin land they have replaced. We owe it to the worms and the trees that the building we cover them with will stand as promises of the highest and most intelligent kinds of happiness.” - Alain de Botton
Did you know that reading makes you a better person?
Well, we don't have any science to back that up, but reading certainly has some health benefits. For example, reading can reduce stress and is also very relaxing. You know, as long as your 7 year old isn't shooting you with a Nerf dart every 15 seconds.
P.S. - The books in this post (and several others) are available now in our shop.
